Luke K.

Resident in Counseling

Specialty: Sports Counseling

Luke is a Resident Counselor pursuing his LPC with a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Certified in SYMBIS and Gottman Level 1 training, Luke specializes in working with individuals and couples facing challenges related to relationship issues/communication, self-worth, identity, depression, grief, sports-related issues, and spiritual matters. He integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and the Gottman Method. His counseling style blends compassion with directness, what he calls "counseling with both love and truth." Luke strives to build a safe, intentional therapeutic relationship where clients feel supported to grow through challenges, not just go through challenges.

Inspired by his own passions and a deep sense of God's calling, Luke finds great joy in walking alongside clients through their journey, witnessing milestone by milestone as they move toward personal growth. When not counseling, Luke enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors, watching football (Go Commanders!), and sharing life with his wife, Hannah. He holds Hebrews 13:6 close as a foundation in both his personal and professional life.
